What’s The Difference Between “Premium Quality” Windshields And “OEE” Windshields?
OEE is the abbreviation for original equipment equivalent and Premium Quality is the abbreviation for original equipment manufacturers.
OEE glass, or aftermarket glass as it is known, is significantly cheaper than Premium Quality or dealer glass. It is usually a different thickness than Premium Quality glass and differs from the original design of the glass in your vehicle.
OEE glass should be avoided, and under the terms of your insurance policy, you are entitled to Premium Quality glass.
Always ensure yourself that the auto glass company you choose to replace your windshield uses only Premium Quality glass and not the inferior brand. Auto Glass America stands for quality windshield and auto glass replacements.
